The gospel has to be contextualized for those people. So, whether that's contemporary, traditional, house-church, or whatever, all that matters is, is this connecting with the people in this culture? That's the missiology.

As far as ecclesiology goes, I think the important thing is that the church be a fellowship of Christ-followers who are not a closed system. Maybe that's the danger that Stetzer and Putnam are seeing among Barna's revolutionaries. Maybe there are too many closed systems (I'm speaking from relative ignorance here, so please correct me if I'm wrong). A church needs to be always open and working to add more and more to their numbers--whether that's by growing that particular church or by planting more churches.Markus Watsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08786053812320008504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21285336.post-1161873538109447892006-10-26T10:38:00.000-04:002006-10-26T10:38:00.000-04:00I like that... You know it is very funny that even though Th3 Waters' focus is communal, we really are attempting to live into all of the areas that the diagrams suggest. Ecclesiology keeps coming up all the time with all of our discussions of "The Kingdom"...I really do believe that it is thier understanding of Kingdom, Christ, and Community that is filling thier passion for deeper levels of relationship with God and each other, as well as, thier joining Christ's redemption of all things created (people, creation, community, culture, etc...)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
